Laurian Dicks, M.S., CCC-SLP has over 13 years experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in both schools and pediatric home health. Originally from Illinois, she graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences and her Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from the Southern Illinois University of Carbondale.
Laurian has a child with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) and has a special interest in helping children with apraxia through evidenced based practices for motor speech disorders. She has also completed specialized training in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders through the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT).
Laurian is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a licensed SLP in the state of Texas. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising and riding horses.
She has had training in the following:
-DIR/Floortime
-LAMP
-Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) for motor speech disorders
